The Cowbolandian Institute of the Science (CIS), is an organization in Cowboland dedicated to researching the Science. The whole thing. They study all subjects, from bepisology, to thotism, to why the jiblet on that one spoon hurt so damn much.

Instead of peer-reviewing scientific articles, the CIS just uploads the articles to Facebo, where cowbos from all around Cowboland can rate them by "yeehawing" them, or giving them a "whoa there pardner". This doesn't sound like the best system, but actually it's one of the better available on Dwaia.
