Democratic Union of Toes
The Toe Democrats, officially the Democratic Union of Toes, is a toe-centered democratic political party in Dwaia.
Founded in 1953 AP, the party was formed on the premise that the toe community in Dwaia, the town was in need of bigger and better political footing (haha get it) in Dwaia. The party was elected the following year as a supporting party to the then biggest political party in Dwaia, Potato Tomato Politics Party. DUoT has since its political golden years remained a firm and respectable representation of the toe community; even after their departure from the mainstream political sphere in the following years. The slogan of the party is "For a welcoming Dwaia. Except for thumbs.". The slogan was updated after the prior slogan, "Toes, we stomp the competition."
Important campaigns
The DUoT runs a very open architectural political campaign with an understandable focus on the toe community. The then minister candidate in the DUoT, Megan McToes, said during a speech "Even though our campaign focuses on toes and all feet beings, we wish to emphasize that all races and people and creatures are, and should be, welcome in our community. Except for thumbs, fuck thumbs."
