Air, in traditional (alchemical) notation
"I hear people talk of whether the rainy season or the sunny season is preferable. Me, I am partial to the subtle beauty of the windy season—the waving grass, the whispering trees, the invisible but very real caress of Mother Nature…"
Mage Windu

In Alchemy, Air (scientific notation: Ae) comes third out of the six basic elements that make up the Dwaian realm. Air is distinct in its low density, flexibility, compressibility, and its tendency to scatter, as well as having a nice minty taste. It is essential in biology, where it serves as a catalyst for many biological processes. There is a full-fledged discipline of Magics devoted to Air, sometimes called the Aeromancies, though scientific literature refers to it as "blowing really hard".

The following is a table of the six elemental Aspects, and how they bond with Air to form new elements:

Aspect Air Ae
Death Zyklon 🅱 Ae†
Life Breath Ae∲
Regression Braps Ae↓
Progression The Cloud Ae↑
Ascension Pomf Ae⧺
Ultimate Succ Ae♯

Similar physical characteristics are shared between all aspectations of Air, particularly gaseousness.

Air is traditionally attributed to Wisdom, and its positive personality trait is nurturing, while its negative trait is skittish. In Gagank's temperamental chirality theory of alchemy, Air is the most turbulent of the base elements, free to occupy almost any of the ten spin-states.

Air-based entities

This list is incomplete; you probably can't help expand it though since you probably don't have edit access.

The following are a few creatures whose makeup consists mostly of this element. Most of them have wings.

Actually, I think all of them have wings.
