Eight Theory

Eight theory is a collection of theorems surrounding the Puzzle of Eight, where eight clones are situated on different corners of a cube and attempt to reach each other while making identical moves. This puzzle is inspired by the real life problem of reuniting the Demi-Demis. Despite many solutions existing for the theoretical case, such as Grassendieck's octonion construction, none of them seem to be applicable to the real life problem, as every time the Demi-Demis try a solution, some dumb shit happens (for example, an infestation of flying alligators), making them fail. Unfortunately, Dwaian number wranglers have yet to figure out how to think about "dumb shit" using numbers, and so Eight Theory remains largely without application.
