He's the Creator of Grockies, a type of goblin that drops groceries upon being killed. His mother was Nandia Otvo, the first trans-invisble person. His father was a prominent "used hands salesman". Gram Otvo's name is a case of NTR. Translated literally from Old Dwaian, it means "Invisible Hand", a concept from the economic theory of markets. When asked about the name, his parents simply stated that Gram took his mother's last name, and was named "Gram" (Old Dwaian for "hand"), because his father really liked hands.
