The term 'inner Dwaia' is loosely given to the vast underground network of facilities, gear and wire megastructures, abandoned research centers and cities, and other miscellaneous plateaus of the ancient civilizations under the surface of the known Dwaian world. The entire expanse was part of the original Dwaia cube, but was subsequently abandoned by its creators after The Coin Incident which sent everything to a halt. it is common knowledge that the incident of the dropped coin stopped the Dwaia structure in twisting and turning as it was designed to. However, many do not know how the gears were interconnected to the cities and facilities in the underground, and that when Dwaia stopped twisting, so did those places underground and caused the ancient populous to either flee from the apocalypse or perish trying.

During the long period in which Dwaia has stood still has made the inner workings of Dwaia slowly corrode over time and ultimately sent Dwaia into a permanent timeline of cancerous shit. However, despite the decay of Dwaia's underground and its extremely dangerous and unforgiving mechanical biomes of malfunctioning metal trees, sentient and aggressive coffee machines and false supernatural prophets, it has still been recognized as an official part of Dwaia's region. Parts of the underground has been slowly reclaimed by courageous big-dick adventures who, using popular dungeon crawling techniques, have been able to rid some of the upper parts of the underground of retarded creatures and acid clouds.

The Boxels

During one underground exploration, one adventuring party stumbled into a society of multi-coloured shape creatures. The creatures greeted them with metallic creaking noises and gear ticking but switched to common dwaian once they could see that the adventures were screaming and holding their bleeding ears in pain. Over a cup of hot oil tea, the creatures introduced themselves as the Boxels. "We are former workers of the ancient ones who created Dwaia. We have lived here ever since" they explained and showed many previously unknown artifacts and statues of twisted, disturbing metal creatures.

The HECC was asked about this due to his endless knowledge and resemblance to the creatures and replied that he was created in their likeness, but not by them directly. They are helpful creatures and work for little pay.
