Larton

Larton is a town founded after slowly after the Removalland incident when Removalland survivors began settling down near lone grouplings of farmsteads and houses in order to survive. This was partly due to the similar nature the surrounding area had to now removed-Removalland, but also because the trip to potential prosperity further out was not possible for the survivors at the time. Eventually the groupling of farmsteads turned into a small village, and a mayor was elected Milton Harris, who dubbed the town after his grandfather, Larton (Harris), in 1923.

Glitch prosperity and the defense against Edgeon

In the town's early life there wasn't fuck all to keep people around other than the fact that a town was a nice alternative to being eaten alive. After the Removalland incident, however, an aura of reality-warping glitching appeared in Larton's marshes, and made strange anomalies manifest in the once completely normal forest and marsh area. These anomalies were stronger and stranger than those usually found in the Corruptus ring. Apart from the regular missing textures and crats, certain plants began bearing golden fruit, and algae began producing gemstones.

This discovery was made by a local marshfisher who noticed a weird sparkling in the marsh's smelly ass-water. News of this spread Dwaia-wide and started attracting fortune-seekers, danger-finders, and prospectors.

When the weeb-fags from Edgeon eventually picked up on the scent of gems and gold in the marshes of Larton, a group of highly trained samurai was sent to Larton as an invading force and managed to get hold of a rather large portion of the marsh. For three years the Edgeon forces were able to hold the marshes and dig for minerals until a militia, lead by militia leader Brian Fuchs, was able to bomb the shit out of the Edgeon edgelords and send them back to Edgeon.

Today, larton and its marshes are still both attractive to adventurers, tourists and, prospectors as the rarity of either gold or gems don't seem to increase.
