An instance of a missing texture

In the years following the Great Removening, in which Removeland mysteriously disappeared, which first of all broke several fundamental laws of nature and thermodynamics, there have been a few instances of apparent loss of building and nature textures in the surrounding area, appearing in an unpredictable pattern besides a higher frequency of instances closer to the source of the big removal.

Neither buildings nor areas of nature whose textures have gone missing appear to be any more dangerous than they originally were. The only danger could be an increase in disgusting looking visuals which could cause nausea, dry mouth, psychosis, and severe toeaches.

One scientist once tried eating untextured food. The result was untextured shid and piss. A further experiment in which the same scientist would consistently only ingest untextured food and beverages, the scientist's skin slowly turned untextured, along with a growing loss of voice clips, similar to the effects of dementia.
