Eight theory is a collection of theorems surrounding the Puzzle of Eight, where eight clones are situated on different corners of a cube and attempt to reach each other while making identical moves. This puzzle is inspired by the real life problem of reuniting the Demi-Demis. Despite many solutions existing for the theoretical case, non of them are applicable to the real life problem.
