The Scarlet King (Martian: Scarlet Jed; Fullname: Thulal Dwaian Egriit; Born 3rd of Aries, 57) is the king of Mars and emperor of Illious in the Plane of Fire, as well as the archbishop on both Mars and Illious. Born in Gaebril, Skanninggil on Mars, Thulal was born into princehood as the last heir to the throne of Mars, as well as pronounced the providence to Mars.
Thulal succeeded his parents at the age of 20 as Thulal became an adult. His father and mother retired to council duty as political and parental guidance.
Youth & Becoming Heir
Since birth, Thulal had been a highly protected individual because of his prince and religious status. Throughout his youth he lived in a walled city, separated from the laymen of Mars, and was brought up between Mars' proudest scientists, scholars, artists, and musicians. Despite his isolation, Thulal remained a mentally healthy child. Around the age of 16, Thulal had been allowed into the rest of Mars through parades and protected social gatherings, in which he met the regular people of Mars, and was taught the condition of Mars. At 20, upon gaining the throne, Thulal sent himself on a spiritual journey to a temple of solitude where he remained for five years.
The trip to Dwaia
Upon gaining the throne on Mars, Thulal had decided to chase a wild set of visions he had gained while meditating in the temple he had stayed at on his spiritual journey. In these visions, he saw before him a vast paradisiacal world of countless utopias, whose civilizations lived in peace and utter prosperity; it is up for discussion if these visions were psychic messages sent from ancient Dwaians before the coin incident. Nevertheless, Thulal would travel with a large portion of the upper and middle-class on Mars on a gigantic exodus through space using cryo-pods and martian deep-dream space navigators. The problem was that neither Thulal, nor the visions he had experienced, had access to FTL travel and thus it would take centuries before the martian exodus ships would actually arrive at Dwaia. During that period of boring automated space-travel, the well known coin incident had happened, and when the exodus ships arrived to Dwaia, it was the beautifully retarded fucking shithole it is today.
so what now
Unable to return to Mars due to the big icy sleep, Thulal told himself "fuck it" and decided to settle just beyond the border between the first plane and the plane of fire. Later Thulal made contact with Azai and told them that they were going to patrol the border to protect whatever little amount of a good™ remained in the first plane.
