Scrumgeons

The Scrumgeons are a network of underground dungeons on Dwaia, notorious for their dangerous and unique flora and fauna.

Scrumtrees

The Scrumtrees are the main cause of danger in the Scrumgeons. They bear fruit known as Scrumfruit, which contains trace amounts of meme juice. This juice, being an Elements of Dwaia makes any beast that eats from the trees incredibly dangerous.

But the Scrumtrees are not just ordinary trees, they are actually the protective wooden exoskeletons of Scworm eggs.

Scworms

Scworms are worm-like creatures that collect trace amounts of meme juice over their lifetime. They migrate to the Scrumgeons to mate and lay their eggs. During this process, the Scworms inject all of their meme juice into the eggs, allowing the eggs to build the protective Scrumtrees around themselves.

The Scrumtrees will then move around and battle to protect the eggs they contain. It's basically like a wooden mech. In case of an overwhelming predator attack, the Scrumtrees have a last resort: they can drop their delicious Scrumfruits to distract the predator.

Scrumfruit

The Scrumfruits are a highly sought after delicacy, as they are considered the most succulent and sumptuous snack in all of Dwaia. In fact, the word "scrumptious" is derived from the Scrumfruit.

Because of their deliciousness, many adventurers go into the Scrumgeons in hopes of collecting Scrumfruit. However, few survive due to the dangers posed by the Scrumtrees and the vicious beasts they attract.
