Angro (rendered as "ANGRO" in the light novel) is the Top Ragehead of the Second Evil Land That Is Even Scarier And More Evil Than Evil Land (abbr. SELTIESAMETEL, which is famously read backwards as "Let 'em ace it less."). He rules this country by power of pure wrath alone. His rage is sufficient to take over the entire universe, but he states that he enjoys seeing the world struggle in perpetuity to keep him at bay. This claim is contested by certain political analysts, who suggest there is something else binding him, though the theories on exactly what is binding him vary widely.
Origin
Angro is thought to have formed from an ordinary wizard named Damian Alterra Fontaine. Due to a deeply suppressed anger steeped in the pitchest black of the void, combined with the darkest rituals known and unknown to man and unman, his soul itself would have blazed so furiously as to incinerate his body into a petty smolder and to become corporeal itself.
Whether this is what actually happened is unknown, but what is known is that over the course of a couple days the land of SELTIESAMETEL was formed, while Angro's Soul Incarnate shone like a sun of searing silver storm, visible from almost anywhere on the First Plane. No one could do anything, not even the BOI, not even Azaius Botatio. Even gremscro big hands was so astonished that he forgot to do something, before that fuming fury was fused into the fibers of the fabric of fate.
Eventually the light dimmed, and dimmed, and dimmed, until only an indiscernible landmass of red and black was left—the red being somehow as black as the black itself—with, in its mid, a spiraling tower that inspires fear to even look at, piercing the red clouds above the abyssal land as it rises, perhaps, as far as the very Spires.
